The team at Walker Hill often find themselves doing some pretty fun things and their annual retreat to celebrate the successes of 2019 was no exception. This year, the team were high in the mountains of Mount Tambourine at Cedar Creek Lodge at Thunderbird Adventure Park exploring wineries and breweries, challenging themselves on a high ropes course tree top challenge, and being amazed at the evening entertainment.
High Ropes Course Tree Top Challenge & Mini Golf Activities
The day started early with the team and their plus ones trekking to the lodge just in time for the morning activity of either a high ropes Tree Top Challenge or a more subdue game of mini golf (or two). Many height fears were conquered during the high ropes adventure and the team bonded over their fatigued muscles and awe as they completed one of the most challenging activities a Walker Hill Retreat has presented so far.
Wine & Brewery Tour
In true Walker Hill style, we wouldn’t have an event that didn’t include a drink or two, and this year we decided to go exploring on a Wine and Brewery tour throughout the mountain. The half-day tour took us to four of Mount Tamborine’s favourite wineries and breweries to sip, learn and enjoy some of the best drops that Queensland has to offer.
Dinner & Evening Entertainment
The final part of the retreat was a magical dinner with none other than Andino Magician. Stunning the team with card tricks and other mystifying magic, plus a five star meal by the Rainforest Restaurant & Lounge Bar crew.
